This was the first collection I completed as a student at LSU. It was during the creation of this collection that I came to the realization that I was a designer just as much as a I was student, and so I'd need to learn how to balance the two. Despite having many ideas floating around in my head, I chose to stray as little as possible from the requirements of each assignment. I used only basic fabrics and avoided making any creative decisions that strayed too far off course, as my main goal was to learn the basics. I believe this was ultimately the best choice; although my vision as a designer may not be strongly reflected in this collection, I learned a lot during its creation, and I'd consider that a success for any student.
